The Transformational Power Of Intention

Energy follows intention and everything is energy. So it makes sense to look at intention, why it might be good to have it, and how to find yours, a little more closely. What really gives your intentions the power to transform your life? Much like any kind of mindfulness practice and ritual, starting your day by setting a clear intention is activating your responsiveness, openness and flexibility to life, to living fully in the present moment, and most of all to allowing yourself to envision and welcome exactly the energies you would like to attract into your life. Without intention you would simply go on a journey with no clear direction. And while that is completely ok too, if you do want to get somewhere specific, or you do want to invite certain things into your life, living intentionally can just be the transformational driving force you are looking for.

An intention helps you to direct your actions towards a specific purpose and intent.

Living intentionally has a major impact on how you are in the world. Thinking about what you would like to envision your life to be isn’t necessarily that hard, but do you ever watch your days, weeks and month go by as if they were happening to you and not for you? And then suddenly another year has just passed you by. That’s where the power of intention comes in, as it allows you to actively call in the energies that you would like to attract. And this makes you realize time and time again just how powerful you are and that life is not so much happening to you, as it is for you. This really is the power that lies behind intentions and as everything it is a process. We've seen this personally and in the lives of our clients. Being intentional was a true game changer for us in many ways. It lead us to a completely different way of being with ourselves, our needs, our wishes and with the world around us. We - each in our very own way - became less reactive and more flexible and welcoming. Intention also lets us remember that everything is indeed connected, something that is often really easy to forget. For us intentional living that includes gratefulness, connection and reflection are all essential pillars of a meaningful life and they anchor us in the present moment and in the what is rather than the what if. Intention really helped us to embrace that and to become the creator of our own reality and life.

How you do one thing is
how you do everything.

If you are unsure about your intentions, looking at the whole of you is always a good idea - if you ask us it’s even pretty essential here. It’s important to consider all of you when setting an intention, not just the mind space and the tangible results that you are calling in, but really asking your mind, body, heart and soul for what it wants and needs. You can ask yourself: What is it that I am calling in, that I’m envisioning for myself? What does it feel, look, smell, taste and sound like if I was living it right now? Allow yourself to really access what it is that you are seeking, because you might just get it after all!! And you might be surprised by what comes up for you. And yes, it can also be that necklace that you’ve had an eye on since forever, but we would like to invite you to be mindful to not just list things here without vision.

Here’s an example for you, if you are still unsure about where to start with your intentions. Intentional living is not a lot of work, but it does require some consistency and devotion on your end. Your intention can be about the broader things, such as how you would like to feel throughout your day or it can be more specific. Your intention then could be to have a growing number of clients come into your practice within the next month, or to have a fulfilled day at the office, including amazing meetings with everyone, even with your boss.

The time frame for your intentions is completely up to you. So you could set an intention for a day, week, month or year. We would suggest starting with something that feels accessible, feasible and good to you and not to put any pressure on yourself. A really accessible way to set a daily intention, can be to draw an oracle card from your favourite deck every day, to receive its message with your whole body and to then take notes based on your obervations that can then be formulated into an intention. Checking in daily in this way or another, is a amazing way to connect to yourself and also to see if your intentions are still the ones you are seeking. You might also find it useful to think of a couple of doable actions that you can take every day towards your set intention. You can, for example, check in with yourself every morning by simply putting one hand over your heart and the other over your belly and taking a few moments here to breathe deeply into your palms and to see what intention is coming up for you on this day.

Once you have your intention, you can announce it to the Universe and thus release your mind from getting too attached to the outcome. You can simply think or say out loud: And so it is. And then trust that the Universe will take care of it. We also feel it is important to remember to take a few moments of gratitude from time to time for things that are already in your life and also for the things that are being manifested. Gratefulness really makes all the difference to return to a state of being and having rather than always wanting to achieve more.

Our Intention for the 7-Day Journey Within is:
